MTN will need to pay $3.9 billion fine by Dec 31-NCC says

The Nigerian Communications Commission NCC says that information transfers organization MTN will need to pay a $3.9 billion fine to fail to separate clients with unregistered SIM cards by Dec. 31. 'Appropiate move will be made' ought to MTN neglect to meet the due date, a source at NCC told Reuters.

In the interim MTN has documented a suit at the Federal High Court in Lagos testing NCC over the fine forced on them.
